Kicking Off #Amigurumay
A Month to Celebrate Amigurumi!
May is here, and with it comes one of my favorite challenges in the crochet community—#Amigurumay, hosted by the talented @airaly_gray on Instagram! 🎉
This month-long event is all about showcasing our love for amigurumi by sharing themed photos every day (or whenever we can!) on Instagram. As someone who spends most of my crochet time making amigurumis, this challenge feels like the perfect opportunity to open up my collection, reflect on my past creations, and maybe even inspire a few new ones.
As a full-time mom of two toddlers, you can imagine how many of my projects quickly turn into toys for tiny hands. It’s honestly one of my favorite things about crocheting—seeing my kids light up when I hand them a new plushie or doll.
Over time, many of my amigurumis have become their beloved companions, from sleepy bears to adventurous little monsters.
Throughout this month, I’ll be sharing some of my favorite makes, including a few that have become permanent fixtures in my kids’ toy boxes. I’ll also be sharing the stories behind them—what inspired the design, which yarns I used, and what makes each one special to me (and my toddlers!).
